Common name: Alternanthera tenella

Scientific name: Alternanthera tenella

Origin: Originated from Brazil and widely distributed throughout Vietnam.

Height: from 15 – 30 cm

Trunk form: Herbaceous

Flower morphology: Alternanthera produces small, white flower clusters. The light purple bell-shaped flowers have delicate petals that look like petunias.

Leaf morphology: Alternanthera is thick and rough, with a round oval shape at the top of the leaves. Alternanthera leaves are wrinkled on the surface of the leaves, and feel rough to the touch. They are glossy green with white mottled edges.

Ideal climate:  It is a light-loving plant, suitable for planting in strong light.

Type of use: ground cover planting in landscape projects. Marble is planted as a large carpet in parks, garden landscapes, and streets
